(Laredo, Texas) – The newly formed Laredo Buzz Basketball Team made its debut last night in the City of Laredo Parks and Recreation A – Division Winter League with a win over Team Elite 54 to 4se6. The first half of the game was a defensive battle as both offenses struggled to find their rythm. Laredo Buzz had a slim 5-2 lead that they kept until Team Elite hustled for a 12-5 lead forcing Coach Martinez to take a time out to strategize with the on court players to try to settle the first game nerves. The initial starters for Laredo Buzz had Jonathan Bravo at Center, Alex Flores at the Point Guard position, Jacob Treviño at the Shooting Guard position, E.J. Palacios as the Power Forward, and Carlos Rocha playing in the Small Forward position.

With 12 minutes of play in the first half of the game a player rotation was called in all of the positions to help give a different look on offense coming in at that point was Anthony Merino at Point Guard, Ray Treviño at Shooting Guard, Jay Gonzalez at the Center position, Josh Ramirez as the Small Forward and Isaiah Martinez as the Power Forward. Both Laredo Buzz squad rotations lived up to expecations on defense while combining for 24 points taking the lead as Team Elite finishes the half with 16 points in the first half.

From that point forward Laredo Buzz never looked back taking command on both sides of the court while making substitutions as needed to always have fresh legs on the court.
