City of Laredo Thanksgiving Holiday Closure Notice

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo announces the closure of all administrative offices in observance of Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2025. All services will resume to normal operations hours on Monday, December 1, 2025. Certain operations and services will continue to be offered as indicated below:
Garbage & Recycling Collection
There will be NO garbage or recycling collection on Thursday, November 27 or Friday, November 28, 2025.
Recycling drop-off AVAILABLE on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
There will be NO lawn clipping and branch collection on either day.
The Landfill will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2025.
It will re-open on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting).
El Metro Transit Schedule
Fixed Route – NO fixed route on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Will RESUME regular service on Friday, November 28, 2025.
El Lift – CLOSED on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Will RESUME regular service on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Administrative Office & Customer Service – CLOSED Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2025.
The administrative office and customer service will resume REGULAR business hours on Monday, December 1, 2025.
