LAREDO, Texas — Laredo Transit Management Inc. (El Metro) is pleased to announce that negotiations with the Teamsters Local No. 657 have been successfully concluded. The parties are finalizing the concluding documents today, marking an important step toward the full restoration of transit services.
El Metro employees will be able to return to work as early as tomorrow, and regular transit service will resume in full on November 1, 2025.
El Metro extends its sincere gratitude to the community of Laredo for their patience, understanding, and continued support during this period. The organization remains fully committed to providing the City of Laredo with safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation for all riders.
