The City of McAllen signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Corregidora, Queretaro

(McAllen, Texas)-The City of McAllen signed an international agreement to enhance intergovernmental collaboration with the City of Corregidora, Queretaro.

Corregidora, Queretaro, MX – McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos, Commissioner District 6, Pepe Cabeza de Vaca, and City Manager Isaac J. Tawil recently led a delegation to the State of Querétaro to formalize a significant international cooperation agreement. This accord is designed to strengthen economic ties and create new business opportunities in key sectors, marking significant progress between the governments and a major step forward for McAllen’s international relationship efforts.

On July 29, Corregidora Mayor Josué Guerrero and McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement establishes a collaborative intergovernmental initiative aimed at enhancing cooperation in various areas, including economic growth and development, tourism, educational initiatives, artistic and cultural exchanges, as well as sharing technical assistance and best practices. It outlines a comprehensive framework for future collaboration.

“McAllen and Corregidora are key international hubs for trade, transportation, and logistics within the industrial sector. Both cities have implemented strategies to attract tourism, which significantly contributes to their regional economies. Beyond these economic connections, both communities are dedicated to building international friendships. “I am excited to continue strengthening the relationship with the State of Querétaro for the benefit of our respective cities,” stated McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos.
