Delgado Found Guilty and Sentenced to 50 years

(Laredo, Texas)-The District Attorney’s Office reports that a jury of 5 women and 8 men in the 111th District Court has found Billy Delgado GUILTY of Aggravated Assault Date/Family/House w/ Weapon SBI F/1.
This case came to light on June 1, 2024 when the Laredo Police Department was dispatched to a shooting call at a residence in Webb County. A 911 caller stated that while she was on the phone with her cousin Erika Torres who was driving a green Kia Soul her cousin advised her that she had been shot by Billy Delgado while approaching his residence.

The trial, which took place before the Honorable Judge Sid Harle was presented to a jury over the course of three days and rendered their guilty verdict after 1.5 hours of deliberation.
Punishment phase followed and after 30 minutes of deliberations the jury assessed punishment at 50 years to serve at the TDCJ. Chief ADA Rogelio Soto Jr., ADA Jesus Vigil, ADA Pedro Guajardo and ADA Fernando Flores are prosecuting the case for the State of Texas.
