McAllen Public Library to Host Community Health Fair

(McAllen, Texas)-McAllen Public Library will host its annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Main Library on 23rd Street and Nolana Avenue. Centered around the theme “Building a Stronger, Healthier Community—One Step at a Time,” the event offers a free and welcoming environment where families can explore local health resources and take practical steps toward lifelong wellness.
Attendees will be able to receive a variety of free health screenings, including blood glucose, blood pressure, BMI, thyroid scans, vision checks, dental screenings, and liver screenings. Those interested in liver checks are encouraged to arrive fasting. A blood donation drive with Vitalant will also take place on site. In addition to screenings, visitors can connect with health providers at informational booths and enjoy wellness-focused activities suitable for all ages.
