Laredo, Texas — The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Rio Grande at Laredo, effective from the morning of Wednesday, July 16, through the evening of Thursday, July 17, due to rising river levels caused by upstream rainfall near Eagle Pass.
Forecasts indicate that at International Bridge 2, water levels are expected to rise to 10.2 feet, entering the Minor Flood Stage (which begins at 8 feet). This may impact the U.S. Customs & Border Protection parking lot.

At the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge, river levels may reach Action Stage at 16 feet, with minor flooding expected at 18 feet.
In response, the City of Laredo has activated its Emergency Operations Center and is coordinating efforts with internal stakeholders, Webb County, Rio Bravo, and Nuevo Laredo partners to monitor developments and prepare for any potential outcomes.
Mayor Dr. Victor D. Treviño is urging all residents to remain alert and prepared, noting that conditions may evolve rapidly depending on continued rainfall upstream.
The City will continue to provide updates as necessary and encourages the public to follow official channels for the latest information.
