LAREDO, TX – In honor of Juneteenth, a day of profound historical and cultural significance, El Metro Transit joins in commemorating this important moment in our nation’s journey toward justice and equality.
Juneteenth marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States and serves as a time for reflection, education, and celebration. At El Metro Transit, we proudly stand in solidarity with the observance of this vital day.
To support our community while maintaining essential transit services:
All fixed route and El Lift services will operate on a regular schedule.
El Metro’s administrative offices and customer service center will be closed in observance of the holiday.
We encourage all residents to take time to reflect on the meaning of Juneteenth and participate in the community events honoring this day.
