Suga Show Wins Over Onscene in a Crucial Must Win Game

(Laredo, Texas)- South Laredo’s Suga Show Basketball Team’s playoff hopes are still alive as they beat OnScene by a score of 70-62 as they continue to eye a fifth straight playoff appearance in a tough City of Laredo Parks and Recreational A Division. This win puts them right on the fourth seed as only the top four teams advance in the A Division.
The end of the first half of play saw both Suga and OnScene tied with a score of 36-36. Both teams continued to play well throughout the second half with 36.2 left to play the game continued to be a tight one as the score favored Suga by only two points at 64-62.
Suga passed the ball around the court forcing OnScene to foul to help stop the clock in the end the score favored Suga 70-62.
Top scorer for the night was Jonathan Bravo who finished with 18 adding 14 rebounds to his stats.
Anthony Merino comes up with 15 points nine of those points coming off the three point line while playing a strong defensive game.
Josue Casarez has three 3-point shot of his own to finish with a total of 11 points while solidifying the defensive middle in the process.
Louie Ibarra made sure that his big presence was known as he played toe to toe with OnScene’s big men as he finished his night with 10 rebounds and six points. Billy Rodriguez came in with help for Ibarra securing four rebounds and adding two points to the board.
E.J. Palacios continues scoring on the court finishing with seven points while disrupting the OnScene offense.
Mike Robles gave the Suga a much needed defensive boost as he played a strong defensive game creating turnovers and securing 10 rebounds playing as a shooting guard.
Galaxander Mata adds his fiery defense to the mix double teaming and adding pressure to the OnScene offense while adding three points to the scoreboard.
Up next for Suga Show is a showdown with The Bad Boys on March 20th and a rematch against Team Clutch whom they lost to in the season opener then a make up game against Team Carolina.
