(Laredo, Texas)- Its been a season that has seen the top teams of the City of Laredo Parks and Recreation A Division have a hard time with newly developed teams. South Laredo’s Suga Show has seen its fair share of disappointments losing 3 games midway into the season last night though they managed to survive a tough gritty team in Team Elite that played hard up to the closing moments of the game.

Suga Show showed flashes of good offense and defense as it did in the days of its inception scoring at will while plugging up the middle of the court and being dominant on rebounds as it continued to tighten up its defense heading into the second part of the season.

Josue Casarez led Suga Show in scoring with a total of 15 points 9 of those points coming from the three-point line while once again playing his signature tight defense creating havoc on the court against the taller players of Team Elite.

Anthony Merino Suga Show’s fiery point guard once again place a tough game on both sides of the court scoring 10 points while helping disrupt Team Elite’s offense which showed no signs of giving in throughout its matchup.

Louie Ibarra comes in strong with 12 points while securing 10 rebounds with 6 of his 12 points came in from three point land as the big man was on fire with accuracy from the 3 point line.
Jonathan Bravo secured 10 rebounds of his own while scoring 10 points as team elite had a hard time from keeping Suga’s big men from scoring. E.J. Palacios finishes his night with 9 points six of those points coming from the three point line as well.

Evelio ‘Billy’ Rodriguez and Galexander Mata come in strong at the defensive end of the court for Suga Show while contributing 4 points each to the scoreboard.

The final score of the night was Suga Show 66 Team Elite 51.

Suga Show improves its recrod to 3-3 staying alive in the second part of the season as it continues its pursuit to a 5th playoff spot in 5 seasons.
