South Laredo’s Suga Show Gets Through Redd Elite

(Laredo, Texas)-South Laredo’s Suga Show Basketball Team was able to get throudh a tough Redd Elite Basketball Team that played hard to the last seconds of the game. Suga Show got off to a fast start in the first half scoring at will while playing a good defense keeping Redd Elite at bay.
Redd Elite managed to come within one point as the game clock marked 10:45 of play into the game inching closer to a 15-14 score before Jesus Fraga unloaded two three point shots in a row to start pulling ahead. The score at the end of the half was in favor of South Laredo’s team by a 39-33 margin.
The second half of the game was no different as both teams continued to play a tough defense matching each other’s three point attempts on offense with Suga Show taking up to a 10 point lead only to see it cut down to four points as Redd Elite continued to put points up on the board.
At the end though it was Suga Show who walked away with the win improving their winter season record to 2-2.
Top scorers for Suga Show were Jesus Fraga who finishes his night with 22 points, Suga’s big men Jonathan Bravo and Louie Ibarra finish with 11 points a piece with Bravo securing 10 rebounds and Ibarra bringing in 11. Billy Rodd played a much needed strong physical game banging his way to 4 points while creating turnovers on defense coming away with 2 steals and 3 rebounds.
Migues Robles has a three point attempt go in while playing a sound defense as he continues to distrupt opponents on offense and a good productive season to date in his part.
Josue Casarez always an imimidating presence on the court man handled his opponents on defense smirking his way through takeaways securing his area on the court while producing 7 points on offense.
Anthony Merino puts up a three point shot to help increase Suga Show’s scoring finishing his short night with 6 points but comes up big on defense providing an extra barrier of defense that kept Redd Elite frustrated.
Galazander Mata puts up the final point of the game for Suga Show as he is fouled with seconds left in the game. Mata finishes his night with 8 points with 3 of those points coming from 3 point land.
The final score of the game was Suga Show 72 Redd Elite 65.
