(Laredo, Texas)-Elections are the closest citizens come to seeing democracy in action. I am proud of our college community, especially our Student Government Association, which has been at the forefront of efforts to increase civic engagement through voter registration drives, town hall meetings and other voter awareness initiatives.
Thank you to the voters for exercising their civic duty and strengthening our democracy. We look forward to continuing our work with the Laredo College Board of Trustees to improve the lives of our students, faculty, staff, administrators, community partners and donors.
Congratulations to the winners, and to all the candidates who selflessly decided to run in support of our college as we continue to grow. We remain committed to expanding our programs and services to make Laredo College and our community a better place to live and learn.
