LC and IBC hosting lotería fundraiser for cancer patients

(Laredo, Texas)-Laredoans can enjoy lively entertainment and community spirit at the upcoming “Cartas con Causa,” a lotería night on Friday, Sept. 6. The special fundraiser event, co-hosted by Laredo College and International Bank of Commerce (IBC), will be held at the LC Ft. McIntosh Campus Maravillo Gym from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the community. Different-priced lotería cards will be sold, and prizes include Keurig coffee makers, microwaves, toaster ovens, AirPods, 32-inch TVs, spa gift baskets valued at $150 and more. All funds raised will benefit the MD Anderson Cancer Center’s ongoing efforts to advance cancer treatment and research. U.S. News and World Report recognizes MD Anderson as the nation’s top hospital for cancer care.
