City of Laredo Announces Completion of Corpus Christi Street Improvements

LAREDO, TX— The City of Laredo is pleased to announce the completion and reopening of Corpus Christi Street, which has undergone significant infrastructure and beautification upgrades. This project located in District 3 is a key component of the Viva Laredo Comprehensive Plan.
The project encompassed comprehensive improvements along Corpus Christi Street from Cedar Avenue to McClelland Avenue (4 blocks). These enhancements included street improvements, sidewalks, bike lanes, water and wastewater upgrades, storm drainage, landscaping, irrigation, a new traffic signal, traffic safety devices, LED street signs, and an audible pedestrian signal.
The project was completed at a cost of $3.75 million and paid by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Utilities Department.
These upgrades are a crucial step toward achieving the goals outlined in the Viva Laredo Comprehensive Plan, aimed at creating a more connected, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our community.
