Suga Show Beats Dream Chasers in its First Game of the City of Laredo Summer A Division Season

(Laredo, Texas)-Anthony Merino and Louie Ibarrarra lead Suga Show to a win over The Dream Chasers Basketball Team despite a relentless Dream Chaser team that played hard to the end. Merino picked up where he left off last year scoring 28 points with 6 rebounds while Ibarra did exactly what he was brought in to do adding defensive and offensive depth finishing his night with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Ibarra joins the team coming in after a successful first year run with EZ Money who finished in second place in the City of Laredo’s A Division Basketball League. Ibarra brings a tough physical game with great movement while adding points to the board.
Merino’s 28 total points included 18 points from the point lines as he was on fire throughout the night as the Dream Chasers could not find a way to limit his scoring.
Joshwa Palacios added five points of his own with 6 rebounds as he continues to play a tough defensive game.
Josue Casarez played superb defense continuing to dominate his opponents while moving the ball offensively feeding the ball to his teammates as they moved into scoring position. Casarez finishes his night with two points and 6 rebounds.
Billy Rodriguez and Adrian Gaytan come in strategically during both halves of the game to help out on defense.
The final score of the game was Suga Show 64 Dream Chasers 56. Suga Show is 1-0 as they head into their second game next week on Tuesday July 23rd against Team ASAP that game will be played at 9 p.m.
