Palm View Branch Library to Host Second Annual Back to School Bash

(McAllen, Texas)-Palm View Branch Library, located at 3401 Jordan Rd. W. in McAllen, will host its second annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. With generous donations from numerous community partners, this event aims to assist children and teenagers in preparing for the upcoming school year by providing necessary supplies and other resources. Advisors specializing in college preparation and representatives from various colleges and universities will be present to support 11th and 12th graders as they pursue higher education.
Students entering Pre-K to 12th grade are invited to bring their own backpacks and receive free school goodies while supplies last. These goodies include essential school supplies, hygiene products, and valuable health and safety information. Additionally, attendees can participate in raffles for exciting prizes.
“We are excited to host our annual Back to School Bash 2 and support local students as they prepare for a successful school year,” said Dr. Esther Herrera, Branch Manager of the Palm View Branch Library. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the community and ensure that every child has the resources they need to thrive academically.”
