District 8 Council Member to Host Lafayette Overpass Art Project Ribbon Cutting Celebration

LAREDO, TX— The City of Laredo, District 8 Council Member Alyssa Cigarroa, in partnership with UP Art Studio, invites the community to the Lafayette Overpass Public Art Project Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The event will take place on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., under the Lafayette St. Overpass (intersection of Lafayette St. and Santa Rita Ave.).
Prior to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the community is encouraged to participate in an art workshop alongside a community cleanup organized by Keep Laredo Beautiful from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers at the workshop will have the opportunity to paint the slanted walls under the overpass, contributing to the beautification of this community space.
