LAREDO, TX— City of Laredo Mayor Dr. Victor D. Trevino recently returned from a significant trip to Washington, D.C., where he was invited by the White House to participate in a small gathering hosted by Vice-President Kamala Harris. This exclusive event brought together key Latino leaders from across the nation to discuss issues critical to Latino communities.
During the gathering, Vice-President Harris underscored the administration’s commitment to understanding and addressing the concerns and priorities of Hispanic communities. Mayor Trevino’s participation highlighted Laredo’s unique position and contributions on the national stage.
In addition to attending the White House event, Mayor Trevino met with Mexican Ambassador Esteban Moctezuma to discuss cross-border issues. These discussions emphasized the importance of binational collaboration in enhancing commerce and security between the United States and Mexico.
