City of Laredo Central Management District to Host Downtown Summit

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo Economic Development Department, Business Improvement District, and Downtown TIRZ No. 1 will be hosting a downtown summit scheduled for Wednesday, April 24th, 2024. The purpose of this initiative aims to continue strengthening partnerships and the downtown revitalization efforts and commitment of city leaders along with downtown stakeholders. T
he summit will feature a group of industry experts from the International Downtown Association (IDA) Advisory Services.
They will be conducting focus sessions followed by a presentation where they will share their initial findings. Representatives from the IDA include the Executive Director of El Paso Downtown Management District, the Executive Director of the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District, President & CEO of the International Downtown Association.
The summit will also offer an opportunity to learn from current downtown projects by the City of Laredo as well as the Downtown Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone board followed by a Keynote Address by Lorenzo Gomez III, Principle Partner at Confluence Capital Group.
The objective of this event is to bring together key stakeholders, private sector, government leaders, and community members to discuss initiatives by the different entities engaged in the inner city and downtown Laredo to explore opportunities for growth and revitalization.
