Sheriff’s Office Respond to a Shot’s Fired Call

(Laredo, Texas)-On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Webb County Sheriff Deputies responded to a shots fired call by the 200 block of Enlace Road. a 17 year old suspect, was arrested. He was charged with Eluding Police Officer Class B misdemeanor and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon Class A misdemeanor. The suspect was transported to The Webb County Jail with no bond. Charges for deadly conduct are pending.
“I remind the public that a person commits an offense if he or she recklessly engages in conduct that places another in imminent danger of serious bodily injury and knowingly discharge a firearm at or in the direction of: (1) one or more individuals; or (2) a habitation, building, or vehicle and is reckless as to whether the habitation building or vehicle is occupied. He or she can be charged with a class A misdemeanor or a felony of the third degree,” said Sheriff Cuellar.
