District 4 Council Member Alberto Torres, Jr. Sworn-In to Webb County Appraisal District Board of Directors

LAREDO, TX— The City of Laredo District 4 Council Member, Alberto Torres, Jr., was sworn-in to the Webb County Appraisal District Board of Directors for the 2024 term on Thursday, January 11, 2024. The Honorable Joe Lopez, 49th District Court Judge administered the oath of office. Council Member Torres was nominated as the City’s representative and appointed by Mayor Dr. Victor Treviño and the City Council during the City Council Meeting held on October 2, 2023.
The Webb County Appraisal Board consist of individuals who represent different entities throughout the county and are responsible for the administrative oversight functions, including budgeting and supervision of the Chief Appraiser.
Council Member Torres will replace District 7 Council Member, Vanessa Perez who served in 2023. Council Member Perez was recognized by the board and was presented with a plaque for her time and dedication during her term.

I look forward to working alongside the other taxing entity’s representatives to ensure that the administrative functions of the Appraisal District are adequately addressed and that property owners are provided the best service,” said District 4 Council Member, Alberto Torres, Jr.
