(Laredo, Tx)-South Laredo’s Suga Show Basketball Team set the tone of last night’s game against M.ll.S with its fast-paced offense that racked up points early never looking back against last year’s C Division Recreational League Champion in a decisive victory 76-62.

Jerry Garcia along with Devin Stallings, Josue Casarez, Sergio Castillo, Joshwa Palacios, and Anthony Merino got things going quick in the first half of the game putting up 42 points combined while playing a tight defense in which they dominated the boards for both offensive and defensive rebounds while helping secure key turnovers.

Jerry Garcia led the scoring tonight for Suga Show with 19 points followed by 14 points by Josue Casarez, 12 points by Devin Stallings, 10 points a piece by Joshwa Palacios and Anthony Merino the score was then rounded off by Sergio Castillo who puts in 8 points of his own while playing a strong aggressive defense all leading up to a perfect 2 for 2 shooting performance by Julian Gonzalez who finished his night with 5 points.

Chuy Cisneros showed flashes of great defensive skills frustrating ball handlers with a tough-as-nails defense to help his teammates.
Adrian Gaytan stepped in at key moments of the game as he made his return this season for the first time since Suga Show’s previous season in the City of Laredo’s Summer League.

All in all it was a continued team effort that propelled Suga Show to the win and a 3-0 start this season as it looks forward to next week’s game against Tri-fecta who eliminated Suga Show from the playoffs last season.

The 2023 Suga Show roster for this winter season includes Anthony Merino, Julian Gonzalez, Tony Garza, Devin Stallings, Billy Rodd, Josue Casarez, Austin Estevis, Sergio Castillo, Eddie Jaime, Leonardo Campos, Adrian Gaytan, Jaime Perez, Albert Moncivais, Jerry Garcia, Joshwa Palacios and Chuy Cisneros.
