McAllen, TX – The South Texas Airport of the Dallas Cowboys kicked off the football season with a Meet and Greet with Michael Irvin, the Dallas Cowboys legend and NFL Hall of Famer. The Meet and Greet attracted fans from all over the Rio Grande Valley where he also announced he would be appearing at the 10th Anniversary of the McAllen Holiday Parade. “When you’re on a team, you’re part of a family that fights for the teammate next to you. And that’s what I see here in McAllen, a great big FAMILY that works together and gets things done! And you do it for each other, your parents, and your kids! I love that! And that is why this is Cowboys country,” said Michael Irvin after his Meet and Greet. The event also featured an open autograph session with Tony Hill, a Dallas Cowboys legend.

“These achievements represent McAllen’s commitment to making life for our residents better in ways both big and small- from investing in infrastructure and public services to providing one-of-a-kind holiday events and entertainment to families year-round,” said McAllen Commissioner Victor “Seby” Haddad.

McAllen International Airport also announced the return of their Skybox Fan Experience to the 10th anniversary of the McAllen Holiday Parade presented by H-E-B and powered by Bert Ogden Auto Group. The Skybox Fan Experience will feature the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, a special host, live DJ, Dallas Cowboys t-shirts for all, an illuminated LED stage, and special giveaways. “McAllen International Airport’s partnership with the Dallas Cowboys has allowed us to create an extra special opportunity at the McAllen Holiday Parade for the second year, the Skybox Fan Experience,” said Elizabeth Suarez, City of McAllen.

“We are grateful to our city team, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who makes the McAllen Holiday Parade possible for thousands of families each year. We personally invite all of our loyal Cowboy fans to this year’s McAllen International Airport Skybox fan experience,” said McAllen City Manager Roel “Roy” Rodriguez, P.E. Tickets for the Skybox and McAllen Holiday Parade are on sale now at www.mcallenholidayparade.com.
