Sheriff’s Office Investigate Death of Unidentified Man

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – On Thursday, September 13, 2023 the Union Pacific Police Department contacted the Webb County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 4:30 p.m. regarding a deceased male in close proximity to the train tracks. There were obvious signs of external injury however, at this stage of the investigation, further analysis is necessary to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the death. The male has yet to be identified and the Sheriff’s Office will be working with the medical examiner to determine the identity of the male.
“I have assigned a specialized team of detectives to lead the investigation, utilizing their extensive experience and expertise to ensure a comprehensive and thorough resolution to this case. As the investigation progresses, the WCSO will continue to provide updates,” said Sheriff Cuellar.
