Sheriff’s Office Arrest Juvenile in Rio Bravo

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – On Thursday, August 3, 2023, at approximately 8:00 am, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in Rio Bravo about several vehicles that had been damaged or burglarized. Crime scene investigators were dispatched to the location and processed the vehicles, leading to the recovery of several pieces of evidence.
The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division, which deployed several investigators, who later identified a person of interest. Subsequently, on Saturday, August 5, 2023, a male juvenile, 16, was detained and charged with Burglary of Vehicle Class A. He was transported to the Webb County Youth Village for processing and released to their custody. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
“I received several phone calls from concerned citizens in the community regarding the burglaries, so I reached out to the Criminal Investigation Division. I was informed that they were already investigating the issue; I thank the deputies for responding quick and taking action.
