Road Closure for Dove Ave. Roadway Improvements

Construction of storm system improvements
(McAllen, Texas)-As the City of McAllen moves forward with the Dove Avenue Roadway Improvements project, storm infrastructure construction will cause a road closure along Bentsen Road.
Contractor Go Underground will be working on the installation of storm water infrastructures, the construction of these improvements will be causing intermittent road closure at the intersection of Bentsen Rd. and Dove Ave. The roadway will be closed to all through traffic between Buddy Owens Blvd (3 Mile Lane) to Lark Avenue (4 Mile Lane) and will begin on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 and expected to be completed by August 20, 2023.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
