Laredo College Excited to Host Historic Summer Graduation

(Laredo, Texas)-As parents, teachers and students in our community gear up for the beginning of a new academic year, Laredo College is preparing to celebrate the culmination of student success and academic achievement this Friday, August 11 with two historic summer graduation ceremonies, a first in the college’s 76-year history.
The ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Maravillo Gym at the LC Ft. McIntoshCampus in Laredo’s downtown historic district. Over 220 students will walk across the graduation stage after countless hours of hard work and dedication. With our students’ needs at the center of this inaugural summer commencement, LC is excited to begin this new tradition of hosting spring, summer and winter graduations.
Moving away from hosting a single annual ceremony will allow students to celebrate their achievements almost immediately after finishing their coursework for their programs, degrees, or certifications.
