City of McAllen to Issue Sandbags

The City of McAllen will be issuing sandbags today from 11 AM to 7 PM for McAllen residents at the City of McAllen Recycling Center, located at 4101 N. Bentsen Rd. Residents must show proof of residency, including a valid ID or a current utility bill. Sandbag distribution will be self-serve and residents will be limited to six sandbags each and 12 for business.Sandbags will be distributed until the Recycling Center runs out.
For emergency situations, citizens should call 9-1-1. For non-emergency assistance, citizens may call (956) 681-1234.
