The Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit Confiscate Fentanyl

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – On Thursday, July 20, 2023, The Webb County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a narcotics search warrant by the 600 block of Morales El Cenizo, Texas. After a search of the residence, investigators discovered 2.9 grams of Fentanyl, 12.1 grams of Crack Cocaine, and 7.5 ounces of Marijuana. Gerardo Arce, age 21, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Felony 2, Possession of Controlled Substance Felony 3, and Possession of Marijuana State Jail Felony. Arce was transported to The Webb County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of no bond pending magistration.
“Fentanyl is a deadly drug and has already taken 43 lives due to overdoses in our local community. It only takes 2 grams to kill a person. I will continue to work with our Law Enforcement partners and combat this epidemic,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar. “I remind the public to please report any illegal activities or crime that you witness by calling 956-415-BUST (2868).
