Suga Show Continues its Winning Streak

(Laredo, Texas)-South Laredo’s Suga Show Basketball Team came up big last night with a win over the two-time defending A Division champions Warriors in the City of Laredo Basketball league which continues its game play at the Haynes Recreational Center.
Jerry Garcia led the team in points with 21 while securing 10 rebounds followed by Anthony Merino who had 15 points and five rebounds. Josue Casarez finishes the night with 14 points while playing his tough-in-your-face defense that kept the Warriors off balance throughout the night.
Suga Show co-captain puts up 7 points of his own while
securing 10 rebounds both offensively and defensively.
Calvin Cheeseboro continued to help plug up the middle with his long reach while securing 5 rebounds in five minutes of play.
Austin Estevis was on fire defensively putting up the full-court pressure with no mercy helping secure rebounds and coming up with key defensive steals and adding 8 points to the board while masterfully running down the clock towards the end of the second half.
Billy Rodd and Adrian Gaytan backed up Jerry Garcia and Devin Stallings allowing them to get some rest in the first half which made a huge difference as the starters were able to finish the game without a problem.
Tony Garza and Julian Gonzalez played similar roles in keeping up with the Warriors defensively.
Up next for Suga Show is a matchup against Dosis this upcoming Tuesday at 9 p.m. at the Haynes Recreational Center.

This year’s Suga Show roster includes Devin Stallings, Julian Gonzalez, Tony Garza, Austin Estevis, Billy Rodd, Jerry Garcia, Anthony Merino, Eddie Jaime, Josue Casarez, Calvin Cheeseboro, Joe Martinez and Adrian Gaytan.
