South Laredo’s Suga Show Basketball Team Beats Top Gun

(Laredo, Texas)-South Laredo’s Suga Show Basketball Team walked away with a huge win over Top Gun this evening by a score of 84 to 71 improving their record to 2 and 1 in the A Division of the City of Laredo Summer Basketball League with a superb team effort that was led by Jerry Garcia who finished the game with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Josue Casarez and Devin Stallings had 15 points apiece with two of Stallings’s points coming in on a massive dunk to start the 2nd half of regulation play.
Casarez once again helped keep Top Gun within check with great defensive play throughout the game. Anthony Merino distributed the ball like a skilled surgeon at work making sure all his teammates were involved in the offensive action. Merino finishes the night with 12 points.
Calvin Cheeseboro brings in 8 points of his own while securing 10 rebounds and a blocked shot forcing Top Gun to look for alternative shooting opportunities while he was in the game.
Eddie Jaime adds five points to the scoreboard which included a huge 3-point shot while once again playing a strong defense.
Austin Estevis and Billy Rodd contribute 2 points apiece while making key defensive stops at the other end of the court.
Adrian Gaytan and Julian Gonzalez helped stop Top Gun’soffensive rhythm with their strong defensive play.
This year’s Suga Show roster includes Devin Stallings, Julian Gonzalez, Tony Garza, Austin Estevis, Billy Rodd, Jerry Garcia, Anthony Merino, Eddie Jaime, Josue Casarez, Calvin Cheeseboro, and Adrian Gaytan.
