The City of Laredo Hosts Overdose: One Word. Many Lives. Campaign Event

Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo and the Laredo Health Department will host a Mass Narcan event today April 5th at the Laredo Fire Department Administrative Building, located at 616 E. The event will take place at 10 a.m.
The event is meant to provide the community with information about the importance of Narcan availability. Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, is an opioid antagonist that temporarily reverses legal and illicit drugs’ potentially deadly respiratory depressive effects.
The event will be hosted by the Laredo Health, Fire, and Police Department. Other organizations will be in attendance and will be providing resources to community members as it relates to substance abuse care and treatment.
