The City of Laredo Suicide Prevention Committee hosts “You Are Not Alone” Proclamation

Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo Mayor, Dr. Victor Treviño, and the Suicide Prevention Committee will proclaim 2023 as You Are Not Alone 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline Awareness Year. The proclamation takes on the You Are Not Alone campaign, which looks to create awareness in our community on the support and resources available for all individuals that may be contemplating suicide or may be dealing with a crisis. The campaign’s main objective is to promote the National 988 talk, text, or chat suicide and crisis lifeline.
Through this initiative, the committee hopes to empower individuals to seek help, reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues, and ultimately prevent suicide.
