Sheriff’s Office Investigating Suicide in Las Lomas Subdivision

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – On Sunday, February 26, 2023, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the Webb County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible suicide at Ranch Road 7132 D in Las Lomas Subdivision off Highway 59.
As deputies and investigators arrived, they noticed a man, later identified as Jose Manuel Lara Gonzalez, 33, hanging from the roof of the front porch of a trailer home.
The victim was last seen alive by a friend at 3 a.m. and was found hanging by a neighbor at 1 p.m.
The Webb County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Lara deceased and will be conducting an autopsy.
No signs of foul play are expected. The Webb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this case as a suicide.
