City of Laredo welcomes UTSA Overland Grad Students

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo is excited and looking forward to welcoming University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) Overland Grad Students this weekend, March 3 to March 5, 2023. Students will learn and focus on the Binational River Conservation Project in Laredo and Nuevo Laredo. Each student will examine the types of activated spaces this project needs, explore ideas of safety, security, economic development and shared cultural experience between two places.
Students will also produce a series of architectural and landscape studies in and adjacent to the Binational River Conservation Project. Improving the lives of residents served by the park – on either side of the border – will be of critical importance in each individual student project and will serve as guideposts for the entire studio throughout the semester.
