City of Laredo and Tecolotes Reach Agreement

The local team will begin its 2023 Mexican Baseball League season next April at Uni-Trade Stadium.
LAREDO, TX— The City of Laredo and the Tecolotes De Los Dos Laredo reached a bridge agreement for the use of Uni-Trade Stadium for the 2023 baseball season during Tuesday night’s City Council meeting. This was a tough and thorough negotiation process where both parties compromised and ultimately worked together to keep the Tecos in Laredo, Texas for another season.
For the past several months the City has prioritized investing in the stadium’s maintenance and structural enhancements, which were top of mind for the City as it moved forward with Tecolotes negotiations. Additionally, the City has focused on selecting a new management company to oversee the operations of the stadium for baseball and entertainment partners alike.
The City of Laredo is looking forward to this year’s baseball season and wishes the Tecolotes De Los Dos Laredos the best of luck for the upcoming season.
