Temporary Street Closure at Houston Street

Laredo, Texas — The City of Laredo notifies the community of a temporary street closure for the Flores Avenue Drainage and Utility Improvement Project – Phase II, to begin on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 10:00 PM through Monday, December 12, 2022, at 6:00 AM along Houston Street, from San Agustin Avenue to Santa Maria Avenue. This closure is due to the installation of a stormwater manhole, RCP pipe, sanitary sewer, and water lines. This proposed work will not cause any water or sewer service interruptions. Work will take approximately three (3) days for completion, weather permitting. Progress updates will be made available by the Engineering Department.
Motorists and pedestrians are cautioned to avoid the construction area entirely and to take alternate routes or to use extreme caution when traveling through the site. Residents are urged to adhere to all posted traffic control signs and devices in order to provide safety to all citizens and minimize traffic congestion in the affected area.
