Join McAllen Officials for the official Opening Ceremony of Fiesta de Palmas 2022

(McAllen, Texas)-The 16th Annual 2022 Fiesta de Palmas is set for October 21st, 22nd, 23rd and promises to be the biggest Fiesta yet!
The event, sponsored by McAllen International Airport, H-E-B, Estrella Jalisco, Reliant, Metro McAllen, Whataburger, Cigna, Pepsi Co., De Todo Corazon, GO Carwash, Javier Villarreal, Raising Cane’s and GIS Engineering is to be held Friday, Saturday & Sunday (Oct 21-23) at the McAllen Convention Center and will feature a hefty line up of live music, carnival rides, diverse foods, and interactive activities for the kids.
More than 60,000 people are expected to attend and enjoy attractions for all ages. Some of the exciting attractions include the Voladores de Papantla, Children’s Interactive activities, like Dinosaur George and Into the Wild featuring live animals. Families will also be able to take photos and purchase pumpkins benefiting Make-A-Wish RGV at the pumpkin patch. Families will also be able to enjoy the giant Ferris wheel and other fun rides at the Fiesta Grand Carnival.
All will also be able to enjoy the region’s top artisans at the Artisan Mercado and find handmade crafts, clothing and one-of-a-kind finds. With over 20 different food vendors to choose from, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Fiesta Food Park. Returning this year, is the Fiesta de Palmas Ofrenda which will continue to honor our loved ones who have passed.
On Friday night from 6:00p-9:00p, come out to the McAllen Convention Center’s first ever food and wine festival! So whether it’s a long overdue date night or just a night with friends, come out and enjoy premium wine and exquisite food tastings at Noche del Vino by H-E-B on the lawn at McAllen Performing Arts Center! Beer Around the World, sponsored by Estrella Jalisco once again returns to Fiesta de Palmas on Saturday night from 6:00p-9:00p at the McAllen Performing Arts Center lawn. Enjoy international and local beer tastings as well as food bites from Cowboy Chicken, Dave & Busters, Honey & Brine, La Costa, On the Grill, Nori, Marco’s Pizza and Wing Zone! In addition, we will be honoring Nano Ramirez’s 50th Anniversary of bringing families together from across the Rio Grande Valley, Mexico and beyond to enjoy world class live entertainment!
The Legendary Concert Series, honoring Nano Ramirez 50th Anniversary kicks off Friday, October 21st with Country Night with Texas own, Pat Green and ending the evening with Easton Corbin!
Tejano Saturday Night, October 22nd will include special guest & MC: Carlos Guzman, Jamie De Anda, Grupo Zereno, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Latin Breed and to end the night none other than Ruben Ramos!
Rock out Sunday, October 23rd will include tribute bands for Deftones, Iron Maiden, Megadeath, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Slipknot and to end the festival, Whisky D!
