City of Laredo Assigns Proclamations for UISD Principals and Awareness Campaign

(Laredo, Texas)-Recently, the City of Laredo consolidated the recognition of UISD Principals with three awareness campaigns at the district’s Student Activity Center. A total of four proclamations were signed for National Principals Month, ADHD Awareness Month, Dyslexia Awareness Month and Down Syndrome Awareness Month*. National Principals Month is an opportunity for district leaders, elected officials, parents, students, teachers, staff, and communities to celebrate and honor principals for their leadership and pursuit of success for each student.
“On behalf of our Board of Trustees I wish to thank all of our principals for their perseverance and commitment to our students. They have sustained academic excellence across the district in spite of the many unforeseen challenges that we have grappled with over the past few years. The district’s 2022 “A” rating from the Texas Education Agency is a testament to their outstanding work,” said Superintendent of Schools David H. Gonzalez.
