(Laredo, Texas)- Two UISD middle school students take 1st and 2nd place at this year’s final KGNS-TV & LPD 8th Grader of the Year Awards.
These students and their peers have earned recognition through dedication and commitment to their education.
Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School student Bianca Gaytan took 1st Place in Essay Writing and won a new iPad. Congratulations to Bianca and to her teachers and Principal Clare Flores.
George Washington Middle School student Emma-Sofia Guerra took 2nd Place in the contest and won a new pair of Airpod Pros. Congratulations to Emma-Sofia and to her teachers and Principal Beth Porter.
