Laredo Crime Stoppers & UISD Campus Crime Stoppers Promote Prom Safety

(Laredo, Texas)-Laredo Crime Stoppers coordinator Marilyn Bautista gave senior female students at United High School prom safety tips. She emphasized the importance of staying safe on prom night, as well as reporting if they are in any danger or witness any unusual behavior. Laredo Crime Stoppers is collaborating with United ISD’s Campus Crime Stoppers to keep children safe.
Laredo Crime Stoppers encourages reporting, using emergency SOS on Android and iPhone or text 911. Also, other safety practices such as trusting your instincts and reading the room if you feel threatened or if you do not feel comfortable calling a trusted adult or someone to come to your rescue.
“Prom is a celebration and we want to make sure everyone has a good time and enjoy it but at the same time we want them to be safe,” said Bautista, Program Director.
