United ISD Campuses Celebrate Social Emotional Learning

(Laredo, Texas)- For a third year, SEL4US and the Urban Assembly invite schools and communities around the globe to celebrate the importance of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), every second Friday during the month of March. This year’s theme is “Finding Common Ground and Pursuing Common Good”.
The pursuit of finding common ground and pursuing common good through SEL is to be found throughout United ISD, where campuses have students working collaboratively on year-round projects that promote kindness, empathy, effective communications, and working with others. This year, SEL Day is March 11, 2022. SEL improves well-being and academic outcomes, builds a positive school climate, and provides children with the necessary skills to excel in today’s workforce.
