UISD Welcomes Parents and Community to hearing for UISD Annual Report and TAPR Results

(Laredo, Texas)-The United Independent School District (UISD), invites parents and the community to attend a public hearing for UISD’s Annual Report on Wednesday, February 16, 2021, at 5:15 p.m. at the Bill Johnson Student Activity Complex Auditorium, 5208 Santa Claudia Lane. The meeting will present data from the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR). The summative data in the report is gathered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), and serves as an illustration of student performance at United ISD and public schools across the state. District administrators will present the report for UISD schools.
The meeting will also include discussions about attendance and graduation rates, college readiness indicators such as completion of Advanced/Dual Enrollment Courses, participation and performance on Advanced Placement (AP) examinations, Texas Success Initiative (TSI) – Higher Education Readiness Component, Participation and Performance on the College Admissions Tests (SAT and ACT), College-Ready Graduates, and district finances. “Parents and community members who attend this public hearing will find it most informative, and further assimilate how UISD strives to give students a first-rate public school education,” said Superintendent David H. Gonzalez.
