The City of Laredo Addresses Upcoming WBCA Festivities

Laredo, Texas – To further decrease the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the City of Laredo continues to meet with representatives from the Washington Birthday Celebration Association (WBCA) to implement safety protocols during the upcoming festivities.
These meetings have occurred since January and the City of Laredo Emergency Operation Center (EOC) representatives continue to provide and recommend safety protocols for WBCA events. We are fortunate that today we are observing the first day of less than 400 (320)new COVID-19 cases in our community.
Therefore, the EOC is hopeful that we will continue to see a downward trend of cases in our community. The City of Laredo Health Department and the EOC continue to monitor COVID-19 trends to ensure that our community and the upcoming WBCA festivities are safe.
