New COVID-19 Testing Site to Open in our Community

LAREDO, TEXAS – Soon, a new DOCS Health Testing COVID-19 site will open at Slaughter Park, 202 N. Stone Ave. The new drive-through testing site is free for all patients interested in getting tested for COVID-19 and will operate Monday through Friday, starting on January 31st from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM until Friday, February 11th. There will be 500 tests available daily while supplies last. Interested patients can register at www.docshealthtesting.com or by phone texting DOCSTX to 41411.
The new testing site will be utilizing the oral PCR Sputum Test. It is recommended that patients do not eat, drink, use mouthwash, or tobacco within 30 minutes of testing. Patients can expect to receive their results within 72 hours. If a patient receives a positive test result, they will also receive medical consultation from a medical provider.
In order to help keep the community healthy, the availability of this site was possible through the Texas Division Emergency Management (TDEM) who provided a new testing site from one of their contractors and thanks to Emergency Management Coordinator, Chief Guillermo Heard.
Additionally, operations offered to the community by Vara Health at the Sames Auto Arena, have concluded.
