City of Laredo New Year’s Day Holidays Closure

Laredo, Texas — In observance of New Year’s Day, the City of Laredo and Solid Waste administration offices will be closed on Friday, December 31, 2021 and Monday, January 3, 2022. There will be no lawn clipping or branch collection on December 31, 2021 or on January 3, 2022. All operations are expected to resume to normal hours Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
The schedule for City of Laredo offices, operations and services includes:
- Friday’s recycling collection route will be scheduled on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. There will be regular recycling and trash collection on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
- 3-1-1 Call Center and services will be closed on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2022
- The City Landfill will be open on Friday, December 31, 2021 during regular hours from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (weather permitting) and will be CLOSED on Saturday, January 1, 2022
- El Metro administrative offices will be closed on Friday, December 31, 2021 and Monday, January 3, 2022. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
- El Metro’s fixed route and El Lift/Paratransit Service will be available on Friday, December 31, 2021 and will be CLOSED on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
