City of Laredo Unveils Armando Cisneros Memorial Park

Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo and District 4 Councilmember, Alberto Torres, Jr., unveiled the Armando Cisneros Memorial Park during a ceremony on the morning of September 23, 2021 with family and friends.
The park is named in memory of Armando Cisneros, an advocate for public input and a true civic leader. He was an elementary school educator for Laredo Independent School District (LISD). Mr. Cisneros was considered a hard-working Laredoan who was consistently engaged in local issues affecting the community.
He was perceived to be a thorough researcher, communicator, and analytical through his participation in community groups. He contributed to the city by being a member of the City Library Advisory Committee, City Charter Revision Commission, City Economic Development Advisory Committee, and the Rio Grande International Study Center. “As a Council Member, I strive to also improve quality of life for Laredoans and follow Mr. Cisneros’s example”, said District 4 Council Member, Alberto Torres, Jr.
Families can enjoy the Armando Cisneros Memorial Park located at 2902 Tilden Ave. Amenities include exercise stations, a playscape, and a library station for children to enjoy a book at the park.
