Utilities Crews Flushing Lines in Areas with Low Chlorine Levels

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo was notified on Friday, July 2, 2021 by TCEQ of low chlorine areas in specific areas in the city. The Utilities Department has been actively flushing lines to increase chlorine levels in the affected areas. In the event that minimum chlorine levels are not maintained the city will issue a boil water notice by Saturday afternoon.
Resident are urged not to panic as the city’s water is safe for normal consumption and use.
The areas below were identified to have low chlorine levels. As crews flush the lines, residents may also notice temporary low water pressure.
