Laredo, Texas – As of Saturday evening at 10:12 PM, the full chlorine conversion has been concluded. Since then, crews monitored the residual to ensure levels were at 0.2 mg/l for 24 hours. The City & TCEQ have begun to collect bacteria samples as of Monday morning. As a reminder, it will take 24 hours to receive results from these samples. Once sample results are negative for Bac-T, the Boil Water Notice should be lifted for the entire city on Tuesday, July 13th.
Throughout Friday and Saturday, crews had been working on fixing major line ruptures in order to continue with the process of lifting the Boil Water Notice.
