The Career Expo will bring the process of offering job opportunities to the community, all in one place. In an effort to fill over 170 vacancies, the City’s Human Resources Department has brought this event together where 14 City departments will be present, including Parks & Recreation, Utilities, Animal Control, Bridge, Building Developing Services, Health, Information Services & Telecommunications, Public Works, Solid Waste, Traffic, Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police and Fire. Staff and department directors or supervisors will be on-site to explain in detail which positions are available, they will clarify any questions job seekers might have, and analyze the background experience of all those interested in working with the City.

We are trying to bring in more team members into our organization, who will be able to give greater services to our departments, which then will give to our citizens,” said Eads; “We are hiring right now, if you cannot wait until July 14, please don’t wait. Come on by, put in your application today! At the Career Expo, we will doing another big effort, but we continue to invite people to consider working with the City of Laredo.”
